Jennifer is both a Registered Marriage & Family Therapist Intern and Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern with the State of Florida. She earned her BS in Psychology from the University of Central Florida as well as recently earning her Master’s of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Rollins College. As part of her graduate program she earned additional certification in Marriage and Family Relationships. During Jennifer’s internship she had the opportunity to work closely with children in foster care living in a group home setting at the First United Methodist Children’s Home. Working with children and young adults who were displaced, neglected and abused gave Jennifer vast amounts of experience with symptoms of grief, depression, anxiety and trauma. Jennifer worked with case managers, families, and pre-adoptive parents providing counseling, support and psycho-education in hopes of reunification and adoption. Jennifer has earned additional certification in marriage counseling, trauma and grief.

Jennifer has a passion for working with individuals, families and children. She believes in providing a safe non-judgmental space for individuals to utilize talk, play, art and sand tray therapies in order to work through grief, trauma, and unresolved issues. Jennifer utilizes a systemic approach when working with families as well as solution focused and cognitive-behavioral therapy to enable her clients to navigate through these challenges, identify solutions to improve family dynamics and encourage overall effective communication.
