Counseling Services


Stress is something we all have to deal with, but it is something few of us want to deal with. We use a multi-dementional approach to help client treat their symptoms and the underlying issues. We use many techniques to give people a deeper understanding of their stress, but we specialize in teaching clients Mindfulness Based Techniques. This gives our clients the ability and independence to take what they learn into their world.


Psychological trauma plays more of a role in an individual's productivity than he or she might realize. Trauma also affects every aspect of an individual's life as it re-traumatizes the individual every day. The areas of trauma that HD Counseling LLC treat are sexual assault, natural disasters, effects of war, death, violence/assault, and vicarious trauma. The effects of trauma can be extremely disabling. Individuals living with but denying trauma will have symptoms that reduce their efficiency, accomplishment, and a general sense of self worth. HD Counseling LLC targets the root of the trauma in order to free individuals of a life-altering burden.

Pain Management

Chronic pain affects many people in our society. It has negative effects in almost every area of life, but research shows that there is no one answer for chronic pain. In addition to the fundamental mental health treatment we provide, HD Counseling, LLC has gathered a wide range of referrals to ensure holistic treatment for people with persistent pain. We identify two types of pain (organic and non-organic) that demand two very different treatment plans. We work closely with professionals outside our counseling expertise to address multiple needs of our clients. These include physical, psychological, biological/ chemical, medical, and spiritual. We believe that the best treatment of chronic pain is a collaborative and holistic approach with experts in many different specialties.


If you are starting a new relationship or wanting to rejuvenate a current one we can help you learn the tools to make that relationship last. We incorporate the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) along with years of experience in family, marital and premarital counseling into a program that you can utilize for the rest of your life. We have both tradition relationship counseling as well as short programs to get you on your way to a healthy relationship.

We are DCF licensed to provide substance use treatment for adults, children, and adolescents. We work under a holisitic approad that combines traditional counseling and therapy with modern, evidence based techniques. We are also a Dual-Diagnosis Facility.

Mindfulness Techniques

We teach and use mindfulness based techniques in our practice. Learn how to maximize your feeling of fulfilment, access your joy, find your center, and how mindfulness and meditation can re-energize your life. Mindfulness Based Techniques are useful because they can be used in the office as well as at home. Our goal is to put control back in the hands of our clients.

HD Counseling is having a donation based meditation group that will meet every other Monday night at 5:30pm. The group incorporates both the education and practice of different types of meditation.
