Sherry is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern who earned a Master of Science in Counselor Education, specializing in Mental Health Counseling, from Palm Beach Atlantic University in Florida. During her training she completed focused training in Hypnotherapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). In her clinical experience, she has worked with a diverse population of individuals, couples, and groups acquiring knowledge to aid clients effectively process mood disorders, complex trauma, as well as relationship and interpersonal challenges.
Through the lens of an integrative holistic approach, Sherry is client centered focused on tailoring counseling to each person’s unique needs, as her belief is there is no “one size fits all” model. Believing every client’s life circumstances are different, she strives to make each client feel seen and heard at a basic level. Sherry creates a safe haven for clients exploration of thoughts and feelings in a non-judgmental and empathic environment. Her goal is to build genuine connection of mutual trust, authenticity, and openness providing knowledge, practical skills, and understanding that empowers clients towards clarity to make the changes they are looking for.
