Jonathan graduated from the University of Central Florida in 2020 with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He interned at The House Next Door Community Outpatient Counseling Agency working with both adults and children with a passion for helping individuals struggling with mood disorders, trauma, anxiety disorders, relationship issues, family issues, and couples conflict. Jonathan is passionate to work with individuals with process addictions (video game addiction, social media addiction, internet addiction, gambling addiction, porn addiction, shopping addiction). Jonathan's knowledge of technology and neuroscience are valuable tools that aid the treatment of process addictions and redirect the power addictive processes have on clients' behavioral patterns. Jonathan's approach to therapy is providing a safe and challenging environment for his clients to achieve personal growth and establish a pathway for the client to become the best version of themself. Jonathan takes the approach of partnering with his clients to use his expertise and training along with the clients valuable life experience to find the best path forward to address the issues faced. Jonathan focuses on the importance of discussing a perception of a meaningful and fulfilling life and directing the client towards that goal. Jonathan is well versed in the philosophy, culture, and religions of the world and wishes to support clients from all backgrounds in their pursuit for a better life. Jonathan also utilizes EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) in order to help clients address traumatic memories or events in their life and take the steps to move forward in their lives. Jonathan utilizes different modalities of therapy based on clients needs and preferences. Examples include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness Based Therapy.
