I approach therapy with a strengths-based perspective and believe every individual has the innate ability to heal. I make it a priority to individualize my approach to your needs because healing does not feel the same for everyone. In my practice, I utilize various evidence-based therapy models - Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Relational-Cultural Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy.
Together we will explore who you are and what you truly want from life. This exploration includes learning to accept your emotional experience and show up for yourself with compassion. It includes working towards acting in ways that align with your values and learning tools that allow you to get in touch with who you are and what you want. We will also work towards creating mutually satisfying relationships in your life, as I believe they are necessary for continued support outside of the therapy room.
Regardless of where your path has led you, I will meet you where you are. It is okay to be vulnerable, and it is also normal to be scared to open yourself up to another human being. I strive to create a safe and accepting environment where you are allowed to show up as your true self and move at a pace that feels right for you. I believe that every person deserves to feel seen and heard, and there is no better time to make yourself a priority.
