Marcial attended Rollins College where he earned a Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy. He has experience working with children, teens, adults, relationships, families, and groups in a school setting, a non-for-profit, and private practice. Marcial also has experience with spirituality from his previous master's level educational experience. His clinical and educational background allows him to focus on his specializations of trauma, grief, families issues, relationship issues, anxiety, and depression.
Marcial takes a person-centered and existential approach to therapy. This approach allows him to create a space where others feel heard, seen, and understood. Marcial believes creating he is creating a non-judgmental space where clients feel safe to explore themselves. This allows him to work with client(s) to find the root of the problem that brings them into therapy and explore this root to develop insight, self-awareness, and strength. Marcial believes that this will give client(s) the courage to take the journey inward. Marcial expresses that therapy is a collaboration between himself and the client(s) to create goals and find which methods and skills will help them achieve that goal.
