Cara attended the University of Central Florida, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Minor in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Counselor Education on the Clinical Mental Health Counseling track. She has experience in integrative healthcare, residential and outpatient settings, in addition to private practice, providing consultation services, individual, couples, and group therapy. Her clinical background has allowed her to specialize in grief, anxiety, trauma, and complex PTSD.
Cara utilizes a humanistic approach with her clients to help them get to the root of their problems by building on their insight and inner strengths. Cara focuses on each client as a whole person rather than their symptoms to help them achieve wellness in every area of life. Cara understands that each client’s story is uniquely their own and that story is what guides her work with them. She aims to help her clients make sense of what they are experiencing in a non-judgmental and empathetic way. Cara collaborates with her clients to create goals that empower them with practical skills and knowledge, help them find meaning and purpose, and provide them with the sense of peace that they deserve.

She is dedicated to helping her clients move through life's challenges and exploring their inner world. Cara's specialties include utilizing hypnotherapy and mind-body practices to reprocess trauma and assist clients in feeling more connected to themselves and others. Cara enjoys integrating alternative and creative means to facilitate healing including pulling in references from art, music, geek and pop culture.
