I graduated from UCF with a Master’s of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. My goal is to help people reach their full potential in life while being confident and comfortable with who they are. Teaching people the skills to navigate life’s challenges with resilience, assertiveness and hope is my passion.
Most of my the clients I work with want to change their relationships, improve communication and bonding, increase self worth and assertiveness, manage stress/anxiety/burnout, navigate life transitions and just figure out adulting! I mostly work with women and college age adults, but also have experience beyond that age range as well as working with couples. I believe counseling is a collaborative process and together we can help you reach your goals, guiding you to where anxiety feels manageable again and empowering you to create the quality of life you desire.
It's important for your session to be a non-judgmental space to allow contemplation and insight. Our sessions will fit your specific needs and concerns. I combine the warmth of a person-centered approach with the structure of CBT along with mindfulness based techniques for stress. By understanding the thoughts and beliefs behind behavior you gain clarity to decide what serves you best. Sometimes, in order to figure out who we are, we need to understand who we are not first. I truly believe our perception of ourselves can be adjusted to help us reach infinite potential and ultimately transform our quality of life.
