Alexis is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern and holds Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!). Alexis has experience working with children/adolescents, individuals, couples, and families. She is passionate about utilizing a systemic and multicultural framework during the counseling process and aims to provide holistic services to a diverse range of populations.
Alexis incorporates a trauma-informed approach as she believes in the importance of addressing all areas of life including emotional, relational, psychological, and physical wellness. Her clinical background has allowed her to specialize in couples/marital relationship, sexual health issues, family struggles, and individual mental health concerns. By fostering a trusting and comforting therapeutic relationship, she hopes to help facilitate a strong sense of purpose, self-worth, and peace for her clients. Additionally, she has dedicated her practice toward empowering local LGBTQ+ community members by partnering with Zebra Coalition to provide compassionate and comprehensive counseling services.
When Alexis is not in session, you can find her connecting with friends and family, building puzzles, and learning how to cook new meals.
