Valerie is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern, earning dual master’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy from Stetson University. Valerie comes from a background in substance use, mental health, and career counseling, also making use of her master’s in Business Administration. She advocates and participates in local community events through various organizations, including those who service populations struggling with mental health and substance use issues. Valerie believes in creating an inclusive and understanding space so that her clients can begin understanding themselves better. She educates others in topics of self-care and connects them with community resources. Helping clients develop alternative perspectives on their life issues is one of her passions.
