Cara attended the University of Central Florida, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with a Minor in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Counselor Education on the Clinical Mental Health Counseling track. She has experience in integrative healthcare, residential and outpatient settings, in addition to private practice, providing consultation services, individual, family, and group therapy. Her clinical background has allowed her to specialize in mood disorders, personality disorders, complex trauma, anxiety, and grief.

Cara utilizes a humanistic and holistic approach with her clients to help them get to the root of their problems by building on their insight and inner strengths. Cara understands that each client’s story is uniquely their own and that story is what guides her work with them. She aims to help her clients make sense of what they are experiencing in a non-judgmental and empathetic way. Cara collaborates with her clients to create goals that empower them with practical skills and knowledge, help them find meaning and purpose, and provide them with the sense of peace that they deserve.

Cara's style of counseling can be described as authentic, intentional, creative, and supportive. She is dedicated to helping her clients move through life's challenges and exploring their inner world. Outside of session, Cara is a nature enthusiast who loves being outdoors or on the water. In her personal time, she enjoys drawing, playing video games, longboarding, and listening to live music.
