While talk-therapy is the main format used in sessions, Adam also incorporates elements of geek culture into their work, including gaming, comic books, film, music, and more. Everyone geeks out about something so why not bring those interests into therapy! Adam is a certified Geek Therapist and Game Master through Geek Therapeutics. Most recently Adam has utilized DnD to connect with those struggling to find their identity.
Your relationship with your counselor is important and Adam believes you deserve individualized care. Counseling may not be easy, but it should be stigma free and rewarding. Adam sees the world through a narrative lens, where people are the hero of their own stores. They recognize there is an impact, and a connection, between individuals and their environments. Adam has spent their time studying, researching, and analyzing how people make meaning from lived experiences. They found a passion for working with individuals and talking deeply with others about their personal stories. Over the past 10-years, Adam’s passion shifted from the creative arts where they worked at creating worlds, to sitting with others and being invited into their world.
