Melanie (she/her) is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern who earned her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida.
Prior to her career as a therapist, Melanie taught teenagers in BIPOC neighborhoods. She loves helping teens navigate the challenges of anxiety, identity, and trauma. She also gained experience facilitating adult groups with grassroots non-profits that focused on recovery after loss, church hurt, and/or sexual trauma.
Something unique about Melanie’s approach is her combination of body-based and narrative techniques.
This means she believes:
Attuned relationships rewire our brains and nervous systems.
Trusting your body to guide you on your healing journey.
As you share your story with someone who is able to name both your deep your hurt and your deep goodness, then you can grow a deeper capacity to know and live a full life.
