Hi! I’m Keenan Geddes and I am a graduate student at the University of Central Florida, seeking a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Within my program I’ve been trained to work with people of all ages, from young kids to adults, individually or as couples/families. My main approach to therapy is using a person-centered theory, which means I’m focused on building the most therapeutic relationship with you. This allows me to introduce elements from other theories that match whatever concern you bring into the room as we collaborate throughout the process. Part of my focus during sessions will be on the relationships in your life and how they can influence mental health. As I continue to learn and grow, I have found interest in researching grief, the impacts of relationships on mental health, and tools to help manage anxiety and depression. Ultimately, I want to assist you in building your confidence to make the changes in life that you need. I was born in Utah and grew up hiking in the mountains. Now living in Florida I have grown to love spending time at the beach with my wife. Recently I’ve been learning to surf and searching for the best place to get pizza in Orlando.
