Casey is a Registered Clinical Mental Health Counselor intern who earned her double master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Marriage, Couples, and Family Therapy from Stetson University.
Casey has 6 years of practical experience, starting in Denver, CO where she worked as a Clinical Case Manager on a Criminal Justice grant team for two years. Here she helped Denver County Jail inmates reintegrate into the community after serving their sentences with the goal of reducing recidivism. In 2019, Casey returned to Florida to finish her double master’s program. During this time, she gained experience working in private practice working the adults, couples, and families on a variety of mental health issues. Casey has experience working with substance abuse, trauma, anxiety, depression, weight loss, and relational issues. Through practical experience, she has found a passion for working with couples on pre-marital counseling, marriage counseling, and a wide variety of relational issues. Though marriage and family therapy primarily focuses on couples and families, Casey also believes in using her training to help individuals break unhealthy patterns and transform their personal relationships. When we have done the work on ourselves, we create room for healthy relationships that serve our highest good.
With her extensive training in marriage and family therapy, Casey views her clients through a systemic lens, meaning that she takes into consideration a client’s systems when treating, versus just looking at the client in isolation. She believes that each client is unique and deserves a person-centered approach to ensure she is tailoring her services toward the client’s specific needs and life experiences. Casey is certified in Gottman Level I, Prepare and Enrich (pre-marital counseling), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as Trauma-Focused Clinical Hypnotherapy.
Through her own healing journey, Casey developed a personal drive for helping people heal their deepest wounds so that they may live a life with balance, purpose, and passion. From her perspective, therapy isn’t just for those who are facing difficult challenges, it is for anyone who has the desire to better their lives.
