Hi, my name is Anurag and I specialize in helping individuals, couples and families heal their relationship conflicts and struggles through compassionate, and strength based therapeutic interventions.

My vision for counseling is based on the belief that a grace filled, and compassionate relationship with self and others is the driving force towards healing. My name Anurag is a Hindi (Indian language) word that means love. I have personally experienced the healing power of love through my faith, family, friends, pets, and the natural world. I am a deeply spiritual person and view that healing and wholesome relationships with self, others, and the natural world invites us into the balance of life that nurtures us towards not just surviving but thriving.

As a psychotherapist, I embrace a multicultural framework and trust my clients’ voice and experiences and believe in working together equally towards healing. I am eclectic in my practice, and I integrate concepts of compassionate care, positive regards, and genuineness in my therapeutic approach to listen and support my clients’ existential concerns while incorporating mindfulness techniques in my practice and as tools for empowering my clients. A major focus of my practice is the understanding of the client through systemic lenses and how the client is always impacted and informed by the context they are in or have been a part of.

I am a Pre-Licensed Professional, Supervised by Zachary Dodson, LMHC MH11867. I am completing a Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Central Florida. I have earned a Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies from Reformed Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Pastoral Care and Counseling from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. I have around two decades of experience providing spiritual care and counseling and emotional support to patients, their families, and staff in the hospital contexts and supervising students in spiritual care and education in the clinical learning contexts.
